No. 21 Louisville women’s basketball rebounded from losing Thursday’s ACC/SEC Challenge against third-ranked South Carolina by beating New Hampshire, 94-43, on Sunday.
The Cardinals (8-3, 1-0 ACC) got out to another fast start and, this time, were able to sustain it. Taj Roberts helped UofL to a 19-2 lead over the Wildcats in the first five minutes of the game and finished with 15 points, five assists and four steals. Skylar Jones, who also had a team-high 15 points, was one of three double-digit scorers for the squad.

A week after reaching 1,500 career points against East Tennessee State, Laura Ziegler brought down her 1,000th rebound and ended the game with five to go along with six points. The Saint Joseph’s transfer has been a steady presence for Louisville’s front court, leading the team’s rebounding effort with 7.8 boards per game. Anaya Hardy, the Cards’ second-leading rebounder, got her second start of the season and contributed six points and nine rebounds to the team’s winning effort.
Louisville women’s basketball next game
Louisville stays home to play Ball State at 9 p.m. Wednesday before jumping back into ACC play at No. 10 North Carolina on Sunday. The Cardinals started conference action with a 65-54 win over Clemson on Nov. 16 and are still looking for their first ranked victory. Similarly, the Tar Heels have yet to beat a top-25 opponent after falling to UCLA and Texas, ranked fourth and second, respectively, at the time of their games.
The Cardinals’ game against Ball State will be broadcast on the ACC Network and streamed on ESPN+.
