LSU football will host the No. 1 recruit in the 2027 class for an official visit this weekend. According to Rivals, Jalen Brewster is heading to Baton Rouge as the Tigers attempt to flip the defensive lineman’s current commitment.
Brewster committed to Texas Tech in October 2025 but continued to keep his options open. LSU was in the initial running for his pledge, but it likely went by the way side after the downward turn with the losses piling up and the firing of Brian Kelly.

Head coach Lane Kiffin and staff continue to identify flip candidates. They’re shooting for the stars with Brewster, but he would boost the Tigers’ momentum heading into the summer months.
LSU’s 2027 class holds just five commitments but ranks No. 10 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC. Brewster, who is ranked the No. 1 player in the cycle by Rivals’ Industry Rankings, would be the first five-star commitment.
