Following the announcement of LSU’s week two contest versus Louisiana Tech being scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. CST kickoff, the Tigers’ first year under the helm of head coach Lane Kiffin will begin with three straight night games. Although we are still about 100 days from the team’s season opener, it will soon once again be “Saturday night in Death Valley…”
In week one, Baton Rouge will be the focal point across all of college football as a battle of big cats hits the field in Tiger Stadium. The LSU Tigers will host the visiting Clemson Tigers on Saturday, September 5th, at 6:30 p.m. CST. After LSU traveled to Clemson’s Memorial Stadium and defeated the Tigers on the road to open the 2025 season, revenge will be on the minds of many visitors this Labor Day weekend. Lane Kiffin will become the first LSU head coach to open their tenure at home in Baton Rouge since Nick Saban in 2000, and did I mention ESPN’s College Gameday show will be live on campus ahead of the matchup? Yeah, Louisiana will be rocking.

After all of the festivities to begin a new college football season, LSU will stay home to face an in-state opponent, the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Another Louisiana Saturday night means another 6:30 p.m. CST kickoff is on the slate for week two. LA Tech has made its own headlines this offseason with its departure from Conference USA and rejoining the Sun Belt Conference, renewing old rivalries in the process. LSU is one of the two Power Four opponents that the Bulldogs will see this year.
After a cushiony start to the 2026 campaign with back-to-back home games, all hell will break loose for Kiffin and the Tigers in week three when they travel to Oxford, MS, for an SEC duel with the Ole Miss Rebels, the head coach’s former school. Fans and televisions across the nation will be tuned in to this one, as Vaught-Hemingway is expected to be one of the most exciting, hostile, and electric environments of the year. It is almost certain that this one will become a back-and-forth affair scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CST on Saturday, September 19.
The Southeastern Conference has announced that all television slots will be announced for the remaining games on Wednesday, June 10, at 6:00 p.m. CST as part of the SEC Network’s broadcast of SEC Now: Inside the 2026 Football Schedule.
