Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek four-star wide receiver Jaylen Addai is already one of the top pass-catchers in the 2028 cycle. He’s starting to stack up big-time offers and an especially notable one came on Wednesday.
LSU is officially in the mix for Addai. That last name will be familiar to football fans, as he’s the son of former Tigers and Indianapolis Colts running back Joseph Addai.
Before he won a Super Bowl and rushed for over 4,400 yards and tallied 48 touchdowns for the Colts, Addai was in Baton Rouge for five seasons. He was a part of the 2003 National Championship team, played 51 games and had 24 touchdowns.

With Lane Kiffin and a new coaching staff at LSU, the SEC program is showing interest in Jaylen Addai. Also a dynamic basketball player at the high school level, Addai has also added offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Notre Dame this week.
He’s the No. 66 overall prospect and No. 10 WR in the 2028 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 soon-to-be junior in the class.
As a sophomore for Shadow Creek last season, Addai caught 37 passes for 779 yards and 14 touchdowns, per MaxPreps. He was named a Second Team Sophomore All-American by Rivals’ Andy Villamarzo.
Shadow Creek has been chock-full of receivers as of late. In the 2026 cycle, four-star Chris Stewart signed with the Texas Longhorns last month. In the 2027 cycle, three-star Aden Starling is committed to Georgia and is also a former Houston pledge.

The Sharks went 8-4 in the 2025 season and finished as the No. 98 team in Texas, according to the Rivals Composite Rankings. Addai will help lead the charge as a junior in 2026 and he’ll continue to garner interest from the who’s who of college football, too.
