The LSU Tigers Women’s Basketball team continued their smooth ride through out of conference play on Sunday afternoon as they cruised to a 110-45 win over the UT Arlington Mavericks. They improve to 13-0 on the year with their 10th triple-digit scoring performance.
The Mavericks as a team were outscored by two players off the Tigers’ bench alone.

Star freshman Grace Knox had the best game of her young career with 25 points and 12 rebounds, both of which were team highs. This was her second time reaching 12 rebounds, a new career high in points, with her previous best being 13. She also added three blocks and three steals.
Knox looks like she could be next in the line of elite LSU forwards that can score at ease and rebound well in the paint. The consistency will have to come, but the confidence and raw ability certainly seem to be there for the freshman.
She was one of the more exciting freshman added to this roster and she has lived up to lofty expectations early on.
Fellow bench star MiLaysia Fulwiley continued her strong start to this campaign with 23 points, seven rebounds, two assists, five steals and four blocks in 24 minutes of action. Fulwiley is one of the best bench unit leaders that Kim Mulkey has had since coming to the Tigers.

Amiya Joyner had a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double. Jada Richard had four steals. No one else really stood out, but they just didn’t have to.
Now is the time to start getting excited about this team as they have just one out-of-conference game to go. LSU will return to their home court next Sunday, December 28, against the Alabama State Lady Hornets.
