LSU women’s basketball added another assistant coach to its staff. Head coach Kim Mulkey announced the hiring of Murriel Page on Saturday.
Page comes from Miami, where she spent two seasons. She joins her former coworker Fitzroy Anthony, who spent 11 years with the Hurricanes, in Baton Rouge. The pair replaces Gary Redus and Daphne Mitchell, who departed for Rutgers ahead of the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

An experienced developer and recruiter, Page earned two All-SEC first-team nods over her four years as a player at Florida. The Washington Mystics selected her at No. 3 overall during the 1998 WNBA Draft and she played 11 years of professional basketball.
In 2010, Page began her coaching career at her alma mater. She coached eight All-SEC selections and two WNBA draftees. Page spent three seasons each at Central Michigan, Georgia Tech and Mississippi State before landing with the Hurricanes in 2024.
Page also coached for Canada’s Senior Women’s national team. On the international and collegiate stages, she focused on developing post players.
