SACRAMENTO — LSU head coach Kim Mulkey donned a glittery outfit for the Tigers’ Sweet 16 matchup against Duke on March 27.
Mulkey arrived to scout the UCLA-Minnesota matchup in a purple pantsuit, covered in her signature sparkles and paired with a simple black undershirt and her Christian Louboutin red-bottom heels. The look was bold, polished and unmistakably her, adding another chapter to what has become a familiar story surrounding her sideline style.

Despite the attention, Mulkey insisted in a March 26 news conference that she is “not a fashionista.”
“I do good to be talked into wearing what I wear,” she said. “That was a thing that happened when I first got to Baton Rouge, got talked into doing it. And it’s just kind of taken off. But I’m not a fashion person.”
Hr outfits have become part of her identity and perhaps even the team’s identity, a reflection of the program’s confidence and flair. Star guard Flau’jae Johnson offered a nod of approval on her coach’s evolving game-day looks.
“Coach Mulkey ain’t really missed this season,” Johnson said. “She ain’t been doing too much. This season she’s been coming.”

Mulkey may downplay her sense of style, but her results speak for themselves.
