Team USA announced its new mix of fresh talent and veteran leadership to the court for the 2025 FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series. One of those athletes is guard Mikaylah Williams from LSU. Other players joining her include Sarah Strong from UConn, Sahara Williams from Oklahoma and WNBA player Cierra Burdick.
The 19-year-old athlete will be representing USA Basketball at the 2025 FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series beginning Friday in Marseille, France. Team USA is set to compete in Pool C against the Czech Republic and France. Following this, the team will participate in the Ulaanbaatar Women’s Series event in Mongolia on June 18–19, with additional tournaments expected later in the season.

Williams has been instrumental in LSU’s recent successes. In the 2024–25 season, she started all 37 games, averaging 17.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, while shooting 46.5% from the field and an impressive 85.8% from the free-throw line.

Her freshman year was equally remarkable, as she averaged 14.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game, earning her the SEC Freshman of the Year title. Notably, she scored 42 points against Kent State, setting an LSU freshman record during the NCAA era.
Recognized for her contributions so far in her career, Williams received an AP Honorable Mention All-American selection in 2025. With her continued development and leadership, she is on her way to becoming a top prospect for the 2026 WNBA Draft.
Unlike traditional basketball, 3×3 is played on a half court with a 10-minute clock and a 12-second shot clock. The first team to 21 points, or the team in the lead at the end of regulation, wins the game.
