Ludovit Klein plans on making a statement at Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 68.
Hear Ludovit Klein predict he’ll finish Mateusz Gamrot in bout
UFC on ESPN 68’s Ludovit Klein spoke to MMA Junkie at media day for his lightweight bout vs. Mateusz Gamrot on Saturday in Las Vegas.
LAS VEGAS – Ludovit Klein has a big opportunity in hand, and he intends to make the most of it.
Klein (23-4-1 MMA, 7-2-1 UFC) takes on top-10 lightweight Mateusz Gamrot in the co-main event of Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 68 (ESPN, ESPN+) – which goes down at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. This will be the first time Klein faces ranked opposition in his five-year run with the promotion.
A win over Gamrot (24-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) would certainly be big for his career. Being on a four-fight win streak, Klein thinks it’s big enough to get him in the UFC official rankings, should he get his hand raised.
“Yes, that’s my goal,” Klein told MMA Junkie at Wednesday’s UFC on ESPN 68 media day. “It would be a dream come true. I’ve been waiting for a long time for an opponent in the top 15, and now I have an opponent from the top 10. It’s a big thing for me and for my country. I’m ready to be there.”
Klein understands Gamrot is a threat and thinks highly of his game. However, that doesn’t stop Klein from being ambitious when he sets foot in the cage against him.
“In my mind, I see a victory in the first round because I want to be the first guy to finish Mateusz Gamrot.”
