Luke Riley: UFC 329 critics (hi, Joe Rogan!) ‘f*cking lost their minds’

by

LAS VEGAS – Luke Riley met the media Saturday after his win over Kai Kamaka III at UFC 329.

Riley (14-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) stayted unbeaten on the prelims when he took out Kamaka (18-8-1 MMA, 2-3-1 UFC) with a first-round TKO at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Kamaka immediately protested the stoppage, thinking he deserved a longer leash from Riley’s punches – and analyst Joe Rogan agreed.

But Riley thinks critics like that can go spit.

“They’ve f*cking lost their minds,” Riley said at his post-fight news conference. “Two more seconds, he would’ve been face down on the canvas, honestly. That baffles me. I don’t even know what to say to that. If you think that was an early stoppage, I feel like you shouldn’t be watching fighting. But it is what it is.”

Was the stoppage, which came at the 3:03 mark of the opening round, too quick on the part of Kerry Hatley? Should Kamaka have gotten a chance to work his way out of trouble? Sound off in our poll below.
