The Lynx, who led by as much as 23 points, notched their fifth victory in six outings and improved to 15-4, including 9-1 on the road. The Wings scored the first basket, 2-0. That was the only time they had the advantage. Dallas dropped to 11-8.

Natasha Howard had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds on top of three steals, while Olivia Miles added 21 points, three rebounds, and eight assists. Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams combined for 29 points, six rebounds, and six assists.

Not only did the Lynx remain atop the team standings, but coach Cheryl Reeve also tallied her 379th win, tying Mike Thibault for most wins in the regular season in league history, according to a report from the Associated Press.

On the eve of facing the Wings, Reeve was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, along with Candace Parker and Elena Delle Donne.

The 59-year-old Reeve, who holds the league record for most wins in the playoffs, has spoken about the need to constantly find ways to make the WNBA better, particularly regarding the officiating and communication, as reported by ESPN’s Michael Voepel.

“I don’t think there’s any doubt about the investment of time and money that’s been made and attention. The two years of frustration I felt that showed itself (last season) was that they were not listening to key stakeholders. It was not a collaboration. That has changed dramatically,” said the four-time champion coach.

“There is a lot more transparency, at least with the teams. The next step is to be more transparent publicly.”

Reeve will look to break the tie with Thibault on Friday against the New York Liberty.
