Olivia Miles is the truth.

The more that the No. 2 overall pick from the 2026 WNBA Draft takes to the court for the Minnesota Lynx, the more apparent it becomes not just that she could become a star someday, but that she’s a star right now.
It’s really a testament to Miles’ play both in the individual moments and in the big picture.
On a small scale, she just makes plays. She finishes inside, hits 3s, dishes to her teammates — all with a fluidity and swagger that makes it clear she knows how good she is and knows how to use her immense skillset to the Lynx’s advantage.
And on a large scale, she keeps making history.

Miles is the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 300-plus points and 100-plus assists, according to Real Sports — faster even than recent perimeter dynamos like Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers.
Her latest outing came Wednesday night, a 78-76 win over the Washington Mystics. Miles didn’t have one of her best nights, shooting just 6-for-18 from the floor, but in part by willing herself to the foul line, she finished with 21 points to go with five assists, four rebounds, a steal and a block.
For the season, Miles has been solidly efficient, shooting 52.2% from the floor, 33.3% from 3 and 88.5% at the line.
She’s averaging 18.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks per game.

About a week ago, she had a game with three steals and three blocks. That’s the sign of an impressive athlete learning the WNBA on the fly and seeing more ways to make an impact.
At this point, Miles’ ceiling feels almost limitless. She certainly feels like a steal as the No. 2 pick for the Lynx after the Dallas Wings took Azzi Fudd at No. 1.
But there’s no need for that comparison right now.
It’s simply clear that Miles is going to be special, and the Lynx are lucky to have her.
