The Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons enter Sunday’s Game 7 with the series tied 3-3, and the injury report is already shaping the matchup at Little Caesars Arena. Tipoff is set for 1:30 p.m. CT, with Orlando missing Franz Wagner and Detroit listing Kevin Huerter as questionable.
Wagner has been ruled out with a right calf strain, a significant blow for Orlando because he has averaged 16.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in four playoff games. The Magic also listed Jonathan Isaac as doubtful with a left knee sprain, which could further thin their frontcourt rotation and defensive versatility.
That matters against a Detroit team that has leaned heavily on Cade Cunningham throughout the series. Cunningham is averaging 32.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists in the playoffs, and Orlando will need multiple bodies to slow him down without Wagner on the floor.
Detroit’s only injury designation is Kevin Huerter, who is questionable with a left adductor strain. Huerter has not been a major scoring option in the series, but his spacing still matters for a Pistons offense that has become more efficient over the last two games.
The recent form of the series suggests both teams know what is at stake. Detroit won Games 5 and 6, 116-109 and 93-79, after Orlando controlled Games 1, 3 and 4.
Orlando’s own production has been uneven, but Paolo Banchero has carried a heavy load with 24.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game in the series. Desmond Bane has added 18.5 points per game, while Jalen Suggs has been asked to handle both scoring and point-of-attack defense.
