If the first official game of the 2026 men’s NCAA tournament is a sign of what’s to come, March Madness will be very, very good this season.
TCU’s Xavier Edmonds hit a shot at the rim with 4.3 seconds to go to give the No. 9 Horned Frogs a 66-64 win over No. 8 Ohio State in the East region.
Edmonds’ game winner came after Ohio State had overcome a 15-point halftime deficit to take the lead with less than eight minutes to go.

Ohio State called its final timeout after Edmonds’ shot, but Bruce Thornton’s halfcourt shot failed to hit the rim.
