Mariners News: Luke Raley, J.P. Crawford, and Hunter Greene

by

Hello everyone!

The Mariners played a late one last night, dropping the contest to the Giants by a 9-4 final.

It’s a bit disappointing that unlike many teams, the Mariners don’t get to play an exhibition against a World Baseball Classic squad. It would have been cool to see some of our own stars playing against us, like Julio on the Dominican team or Cal Raleigh on Team USA. Which WBC team would you have liked to see face off against the M’s this spring?

In Mariners news…

  • After a rough 2025 season defined by struggle and injury, Luke Raley is ready to reclaim his role as a key figure in the M’s lineup.

  • Mariners relief prospect Charlie Beilenson is one of several top prospects getting a chance to shine on the international stage for Team Israel.

  • Andrés Muñoz has already climbed the mountaintop as one of the game’s premier relievers. But as he told Shannon Drayer, he’s always seeking wisdom from other MLB veterans.

In the World Baseball Classic…

  • Clayton Kershaw, who appeared in an exhibition challenge against the Rockies yesterday, was cheered on even by fans of his former rival team.

Around the league…

  • Young Reds ace Hunter Greene will undergo an MRI after experiencing a stiff throwing elbow.
