As if it wasn’t already hot as hell in Texas, former UFC fighters Mariya Agapova just kissed Jessica Eye during their BKFC 76 faceoff in Fort Worth.
Both Agapova and Eye are making their Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship this Saturday, June 21st … something we weren’t aware of until “Money Mashka” set social media ablaze with her staredown stunt.
Former UFC flyweight title contender “Evil” Eye showed up for her first fight since a 2022 loss to Maycee Barber in a skimpy thong bikini outfit, while Agapova sported basketball shorts and a sports bra. Eye took off her cowboy hat to mean mug Agapova, but Mariya tilted her head and landed a solid smacker right on Jessica’s lips.
“That was f—ing weird,” Eye said before smiling and wagging her finger at Agapova, who laughed. The two would square off for the cameras with no more funny business.
“She just came too close,” Agapova explained when asked about the move.
This isn’t the first time women have kissed during combat sports faceoffs, but these might be the most established WMMA fighters to do it. Honorable mention to Laura Sanko and Tonya Evinger, even their kiss wasn’t staredown related.
Both Agapova and Eye left the UFC on skids and are looking to re-establish themselves outside of the promotion. The violent but cardio-challenged Agapova arrived with a lot of hype in the UFC, only to leave with a 2-4 record. Eye was with the UFC from 2013 to 2022 and even fought Valentina Shevchenko for the 125 pound title in 2019. She’d depart the organization on a six fight losing streak.
Also on the BKFC Texas card: Andrei Arlovski, who was supposed to fight another UFC vet in Geronimo Dos Santos but will now face MMA journeyman Josh “Cuddly Bear” Copeland. The card is headlined by a lightweight bout between Ben Bonner and Tony Soto.
