The Bulldogs and Golden Eagles last met in the 2022-23 season at the Fort Myers Tip-Off. That was Chris Jans’ first season as head coach at Mississippi State. He led the Bulldogs to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances before going 13-19 last season.
MU has already announced previous games next season with Missouri (at the United Center in Chicago), Wisconsin (at Fiserv Forum), and at Michigan (in Ann Arbor). MU is also set to play two games at the the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in November in a bracket that includes Virginia, Texas A&M and a team to be determined.
Marquette will also take a foreign trip to Vancouver
The NCAA now allows college teams the ability to take a foreign tour every summer. Previously, programs could only do it once every four years.

MU will take advantage by going to Vancouver from July 27-August 3 and playing three games.
The trip will give head coach Shaka Smart some more time to integrate key transfers Sananda Fru and Nolan Minessale with the returning players. Foreign tours also allow teams to have 10 extra practices in the summer.
