Marwan Rahiki will still get his wish of competing in Australia – but against a new opponent.

With Jack Jenkins out due to injury, Rahiki now will face Oliver Schmid in Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 275 (Paramount+) event at RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, the promotion announced. The news was first reported by “X” user Benny P.

Rahiki (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) impressed in his UFC debut when he broke Harry Hardwick’s jaw in a Fight of the Night corner stoppage TKO win at UFC Fight Night 269. The 23-year-old Moroccan, fighting out of Sydney, earned his contract with a comeback knockout on Dana White’s Contender Series.

Schmid (4-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) competed as recently as last month when he scored a 15-second spinning backfist knockout at Shuriken Fight Series in Auckland, New Zealand. The City Kickboxing fighter is on a three-fight winning streak.
