There will be an 18-UFC fight experience difference in one welterweight bout later this month.
With a dozen-and-a-half UFC appearances under his belt, Max Griffin will be the dance partner for promotional newcomer Victor Valenzuela’s first. The two fighters will collide April 25 at UFC Fight Night 274 at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. Both fighters recently confirmed the bout on social media following an initial report by MMA Fighting.

A member of the UFC roster since 2016, Griffin (20-12 MMA, 8-10 UFC) has fought a who’s who of welterweight talent, including Colby Covington, Carlos Condit, Neil Magny, Michael Morales, Michael Chiesa, and Thiago Alves. He aims to get back on track after two consecutive losses and three defeats in his most recent four outings.
Valenzuela (13-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is a former Fury FC interim welterweight champion. Six consecutive regional victories earned him a Dana White’s Contender Series shot in October, but he lost by second-round knockout to Michael Oliveira. A member of MMA MASTERS in Hialeah, Fla., Valenzuela has nine finishes in 14 pro wins.
