Kahleah Copper tied a WNBA record with her first-half performance in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals against the Las Vegas Aces on Friday, Oct. 3.
Copper scored 19 points in 15 minutes of play for the Phoenix Mercury. Along the way, she went 5-for-6 from 3-point range to tie the record for most three pointers made in a half of any Finals game.

She now shares the record with former Mercury great Diana Taurasi, who retired in 2024 following 20 seasons.
Copper’s first-half performance drew plenty of attention on social media.
As for what she has planned for the second half, Copper had little to say.
