Immediately after the loss, company officials confirmed to MMAmania.com that Johnson was transported to a local hospital for a precautionary CT scan of his head and face following the knockout
Johnson (24-20) had his impressive three-fight win streak snapped after scoring victories over Daniel Zellhuber, Ottman Azaitar, and Darrius Flowers.
“The Menace” now has 16 losses inside the promotion — the second most in UFC history.
For what it’s worth, Johnson vs. Dober was surrounded by controversy before the fight even happened. In the hours leading up to the bout, Dober went from a +115 underdog to nearly a 2-1 betting favorite, which led several sportsbooks, including FanDuel, to pull the fight from their platform. DraftKings Sportsbook also removed all prop bets and left only the moneyline available.

This marked the second fight in a row involving Johnson that experienced unusual betting movement.
Johnson has since been released from the hospital, but the results of the scans are currently unknown.
It is not a rare occurrence for UFC to transport fighters to the hospital for precautionary reasons, especially if the fighters are involved in three-round battles full of damage. As of this writing, none of the scan results have been officially released, but stick with MMAmania.com for health-related updates.
