Michigan football reveals 2025 season awards, Derrick Moore named MVP

Once upon a time, the Michigan football year-end awards (called the football bust) was a big event, and it was that way for decades. But former head coach Jim Harbaugh did away with the pomp and circumstance — having first elevated it from a dinner in Livonia to a show at Crisler Center, to something that wasn’t at all open to the public.

It’s unclear whether or not there was still an awards dinner for the players and their families in the wake of the Dec. 10 firing of head coach Sherrone Moore, but the awards were still distributed, though the timing is also unclear.

However, on Friday, the football program officially announced the season-end awards for the team, with several players taking home high honors they will remember forever. Here are the winners per the press release:
