College basketball returns officially next week, so we might as well start to look ahead to the NCAA Tournament, right?
Joe Lunardi of ESPN is back again this season to release his weekly updates of bracketology that projects the upcoming NCAA Tournament participants, seeds and matchups. To no surprise, Lunardi has Michigan State in his projected field of 68 in his final preseason bracketology update.

Michigan State is listed as the No. 5 seed in the East Region, with a projected first round matchup against No. 12 seed Yale. Should the Spartans make it past the Bulldogs in this projected bracket, they would then face the winner of No. 4 seed Texas Tech and No. 13 seed McNeese.
The Spartans are one of 11 teams from the Big Ten included in this week’s bracket projection from Lunardi.
