Michigan State basketball’s coaching staff is gearing up for the biggest stretch of recruiting that the 2026 recruiting class will have. Come late August and early September, the Spartans plan to host their top targets on visits, setting themselves up for success in the class.
With visit season approaching, the first target the Spartans are showing major interest in has scheduled his official visit to East Lansing.

Carlos Medlock Jr., a native of Wayne, Michigan, will be making the trip up to MSU for grind week on Sept. 5. A 5-foot-11, 165 pound guard, he ranks as the No. 100 overall player in the 2026 class according to 247Sports.
Medlock started his high school career at Wayne Memorial High School, in the state of Michigan, but will spend his senior year at Link Academy in Brunson, Missouri. He has been on the Spartans radar for a long time and Michigan State is gearing up to close on the recruitment.
Right now, it appears to be an in-state battle between MSU and Michigan, although Creighton, Iowa, Oklahoma State and Tennessee have also offered.
