Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko officially confirmed that transfer wide receiver Micah Hudson, formerly with Texas Tech, is no longer part of the Aggies’ roster, ahead of spring practice for the 2025 college football season.
Hudson’s departure from Texas A&M football leaves the wide receiver room with questions but also opportunities for its young talent to shine. Despite his lack of playing time last season and not participating in any Aggie practices, Hudson’s physical attributes and football pedigree made him a highly sought-after transfer portal addition.
Texas A&M’s wide receiver roster now looks to its promising young players to step up and deliver during spring practice and beyond. When asked about Hudson’s status with the team coach Elko kept it short and to the point.

The team’s depth and potential will be on full display as they prepare for the challenges of the 2025 SEC season.
