STILLWATER — Mike Gundy’s first major public appearance since his dismissal from Oklahoma State will come on ESPN’s Film Room alternate broadcast of the College Football Playoff national championship game.

Gundy, who was fired Sept. 23 after the third game of his 21st season as the OSU coach, will join Steve Addazio, Dave Clawson and Gene Chizik, along with ESPN’s Zubin Mehenti and rules analyst Jerry McGinn, according to multiple reports Thursday.

The broadcast will air on ESPNU with the coaches providing analysis of the national championship game between No. 1 Indiana and No. 10 Miami, set for 6:30 p.m. Monday from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Gundy has appeared on the Film Room broadcast a couple of times in past  years, the last coming in January 2020, when LSU defeated Clemson in the title game.

The Film Room has not been part of the ESPN megacast lineup the last four seasons.

In nearly four months since being fired, Gundy has made only a few public appearances, but nothing on national television.
