Millie Conner Keeps Shining on Age-Group Scene; Wraps Up Stellar Short-Course Season

One of the top age-group swimmers in South Carolina history, 12-year-old Millie Conner (Team Greenville Swim Club) recently wrapped up her 2025-26 short-course campaign. The season was filled with highlights for Conner, including a quartet of podium appearances at the South Carolina 5A High School Championships and multiple victories at the South Carolina Age-Group State Championships.

A seventh-grader, Conner acquitted herself superbly against older competition while getting her first taste of high school action. While helping Eastside High School to the 5A state team title, Conner was third in the 50-yard freestyle and fifth in the 500 freestyle. She also contributed to a title-winning relay and a runnerup quartet.

Shortly after her efforts at the high school level, Conner captured eight gold medals at the South Carolina Age Group Champs, the highlight a state record of 26.17 in the 50-yard butterfly. Conner was the high-point award winner and her short-course season included six state records in her age group. She was the top-ranked 12-year-old in the state in each of her events, and logged several top-10 national times.
