He played the last season for KK Mega Basket in Serbia, the former team of NBA superstar Nikola Jokic. Macura averaged 2.0 points and 1.1 rebound per game this season while playing in 25 games at an average of 7.8 minutes per game.
Macura also played for the Slovenian national team that won the U20 European Championship in 2024, averaging 11.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
He joins an MSU team that has made three consecutive NCAA tournaments in Chris Jans’ three seasons as coach. Next season’s team though will be much different with seven of the top eight scorers gone.
Josh Hubbard, who’s led the Bulldogs in scoring the last two seasons, withdrew from the NBA draft and will return. Five transfers have been added: guard Ja’Borri McGhee (UAB), center Quincy Ballard (Wichita State), guard/forward Amier Ali (Arizona State), wing Achor Achor (Kansas State) and guard Jayden Epps (Georgetown).
