On the heels of a 2025-26 season that culminated in a Round of 32 exit in the NCAA tournament, Maryland women’s basketball has much to look forward to after the release of its 2026-27 conference matchups.
The Terps look to avenge their pair of losses to Oregon, playing the Ducks on the road for the second time in three seasons. Maryland suffered a shocking early exit at the Big Ten tournament at the hands of Oregon in 2026, placing them out of contention to host a game in March Madness.

The Terps will also get multiple opportunities to return the favor against Ohio State. Maryland suffered a 13-point loss to the Buckeyes in January and will play them both home and away in the coming season.
The Big Ten remains the most loaded conference in the country for women’s basketball, sending 12 teams to the 2026 national tournament. This includes the reigning national champion UCLA, whom the Terps will play at home — Maryland looks to break a three-game losing streak against the Bruins.
With multiple players returning from injuries and another strong recruiting class, head coach Brenda Frese looks to lead Maryland through another difficult schedule.
