Michigan State basketball will be preparing for the holiday season with a massive neutral site non-conference matchup this upcoming season.

Izzo recently let it slip during an interview that the Spartans would be playing Gonzaga next season, but the exact details of that matchup were not yet known. Now, we have an indication of where that matchup will fall on the Spartans’ 2026-27 schedule.

Based on other reports and announced matchups, Michigan State has at least three monster non-conference games lined up: Duke as part of the Champions Classic on November 10 in Chicago, Arkansas on November 26 (Thanksgiving) in Detroit and Gonzaga on December 19 in Palm Springs.

Michigan State finished this past season just outside the top 10 nationally and reached the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament. The Spartans will enter next year as a preseason top 10 team if the expected roster remains in place.
