MSSU was able to tie the game at 33-33 at 2:18 off a Duff 3-pointer, but an Israel Hart layup gave UCO a 38-36 lead going into the half.

Southern took its first lead of the half on a Wright dunk at 5:57. The Lions held the lead until Seat hit a 3-pointer at 1:42 to put UCO up 68-66. A Macenis layup at 1:12 was enough to tie the game at 68-68 and send the game into overtime.

Duff hit a trey at 3:44 of the overtime period to put the Lions up for good at 71-68. MSSU outscored the Bronchos 11-6 down the stretch to hold on for the win.
