MSU expert columnist predicts MSU-Maryland game on Wednesday

Can Michigan State basketball do it again and pick up another massive road win? That’s the question Graham Couch of the Lansing State Journal has attempted to answer.

Michigan State heads to Maryland on a hot streak of three straight Quad 1 wins over the likes of Illinois, Purdue and Michigan. The Spartans currently sit atop the Big Ten standings, and will need a victory over the Terps to keep pace with rival Michigan in the Big Ten title race.

Maryland has also been playing extremely well as of late, with wins in 10 of their last 12 games. During that stretch, Maryland has notable home wins over UCLA, Wisconsin and Nebraska, and impressive road victories over Illinois, Ohio State and Nebraska.

Michigan State is a slight road underdog in this matchup. This will be the only meeting between these two teams of the regular season.

Tip off from College Park, Md. is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday night. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
