Michigan State football is one of only three schools still in the running for a big-time prospect.
Nehemiah Ombati of Shakopee, Minn. is down to three schools, and Michigan State is one of them. Ombati has released his three finalists, with those schools being Michigan State, Nebraska and Missouri.

Ombati is a four-star defensive lineman in the 2027 class. He has a 247Sports composite rating of 89.57 and is ranked as the No. 35 defensive lineman in the class. He is also listed as the No. 2 player from Minnesota and No. 373 overall prospect in the class.
Michigan State extended an offer to Ombati in early February and is one of nearly 20 schools to offer him, according to 247Sports. The Spartans are set to host Ombati for an official visit in early June, and he is also expected to visit Minnesota and Missouri, according to 247Sports.
Michigan State has been one of the perceived front runners for Ombati since he picked up his offer from the Spartans in early February. Now, it’s time for Michigan State to close and land another big-time defensive lineman in the class. Let’s hope Michigan State can complete this recruitment with a big win.
