MSU Women’s Basketball hangs in Top-25 in latest coaches poll

by

Despite starting the season unranked and falling to 18-5 on the season after a few frustrating losses at home, the MSU women’s basketball team is hanging around in the Top-25 in the latest USA TODAY Sports coaches poll.

The Spartans came in at No. 22 this week, down two spots from last week’s poll after their recent loss to Michigan.

Michigan State is now ranked No. 6 in an absolutely stacked Big Ten conference, which is headlined by No. 1 UCLA, No. 6 USC, and No. 8 Ohio State. Maryland is also at No. 15. Strangely, Illinois is nowhere to be found in the poll despite being ranked ahead of MSU in the Big Ten standings. Michigan also received some votes after they were able to get the win over MSU in the Breslin Center.
