Multiple Notre Dame football players change their numbers including quarterback CJ Carr

With Notre Dame football starting its spring practice later today, it was announced that multiple players had changed their numbers for the coming season.

One of the more notable switches was that of quarterback CJ Carr, who wore No. 12 this past year and will now take over departed Riley Leonard’s No. 13. Rising sophomore linebacker Madden Faraimo will now wear No. 19, so when you see a big play happening, it’s him.

Another rising sophomore in cornerback Leonard Moore will now wear No. 2, a number synonymous with the position. Running back Aneyas Williams also chose a different digits this time around, as he will now wear No. 22.

The early enrolling freshman along with the new transfers also go their numbers, as this move is very common across college football. What’s even more exciting about all of these number changes is that we get to see the Irish back on the field, as we get a glimpse of what Notre Dame will look like in the fall.
