After having to wait a whole year to see Georgia Amoore on a WNBA basketball court, Washington Mystics fans will be excited to hear that she’s healed from her ACL tear and ready to join the team for the 2026 season. According to ClutchPoints’ Joshua Valdez, Amoore said she’s been “full go for a while now” and that her right knee feels good.

The No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft had to miss the entire campaign after tearing her ACL in training camp last April. Head coach Sydney Johnson made it clear that barring any major changes, Amoore would be ready for the Mystics’ May 8 tip-off against the Toronto Tempo.

“I have a general sense. I think she’s going to be ready to play. We’re tracking day-to-day, making sure she’s doing fine. But from all accounts, we’re excited to have her. Preseason games, Game 1, all that good stuff,” Johnson said.

“I’m just being cautious, because anything can happen, and I really just go off what our medical [staff] tells us anyway. But I can share that she looks really good. She’s confident, having fun. That’s the best part of it. She’s not as mindful of what happened in the past. She’s really trying to add to this team.”
