Napheesa Collier, the MVP frontrunner, led the way for the Lynx, scoring 19 points while also contributing eight rebounds, four assists and four blocks. Second-year forward Angel Reese nabbed her 10th straight double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
Last week, Collier and Reese teamed up for Team Collier during the WNBA All-Star Game. The two helped defeat Team Clark by a score of 151 to 131.

Collier and Reese also spent the offseason playing against each other in Unrivaled Basketball. Collier and New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart helped found the league, and they played their inaugural season in 2025.

Reese has credited both the league and Collier individually on numerous occasions for helping her development heading into her second WNBA season. After Tuesday’s win, Collier spoke to the media and made her feelings on Reese clear.
“It’s like I want you to develop, but maybe not against us,” Collier said, jokingly. “No, it’s great. I feel like that is what it is about. Like paying it forward, especially helping the younger generation to develop, to get better. … I want her to develop her game, I want her to get better and better, because she’s so talented. To have even a small part of that, that she feels like I’m helping her, I just feel really grateful that I got to be part of that process at all.”
