The NASCAR Cup Series makes its season debut on a non-drafting oval in Sunday’s Shriners Children’s 500 at Phoenix Raceway.

William Byron is on the pole for Sunday’s race after taking the top spot as the final driver to run in qualifying on Saturday.

Christopher Bell, last year’s winner in the Phoenix spring race and on a two-race winning streak, will start 11th.
