Feb. 26—MANKATO — Lake City graduate and Minnesota State University, Mankato basketball senior Natalie Bremer has been named both All-Northern Sun Conference and the NSIC South Division Player of the Year.
Bremer led the 27-1 and No. 3 ranked Mavericks in scoring at 21.5 points per game. That ranked second in the conference and fifth nationally. The shooting guard shot 50% from the field and 37% on 3-pointers.

Bremer earned seven NSIC South Division Player of the Week honors and two WBCA/D2CIDA Division II National Player of the Week awards while becoming the school’s all-time leading scorer with 2,275 career points. She also averaged 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game.
It was the third straight year that Bremer has been named first-team All-NSIC. She was second team as a freshman.
Bremer was one of three Mavericks players to be named All-Conference. Also honored were Mackenzie Schweim and Hannah Herzig. Mankato coach Emilee Thiesse was honored as the NSIC Coach of the Year.
