Nate Diaz open to McGregor trilogy fight on UFC’s White House card

Nate Diaz is looking to get back in action and stay active, but the former UFC star has had some trouble finding an opponent to fight.

Fortunately, Diaz remains one of the biggest names in combat sports today. Despite being away from UFC for nearly three years and going just 1-1 as a professional boxer, Diaz still holds significant star power. He’s just waiting for the right opponent to make his return to the cage (or ring).

“Nobody’s free so there ain’t nobody to fight,” Diaz told MMA Junkie Friday night at DBX 3. “I want to fight three times a year, but everyone is f—king locked down. So it’s a matter of time. I’m trying to fight ASAP.”

“At the moment I don’t got nothing to see until it pops up in my grill,” he added when asked who’s capturing his attention.

The former UFC star was then questioned about his willingness to jump on UFC’s White House card in July 2026. It’s going to be arguably the biggest UFC event of all time and something that the Stockton native would love to be a part of.

“100 percent,” said Diaz. “That’s the most thing I’m looking forward to.”

Another interviewer asked if Diaz was still interested in finishing off his long-awaited trilogy fight with Conor McGregor, and if that’s something that could go down on the White House lawn. Diaz seems more than willing to end his rivalry with “Notorious” next July, but there are a lot of things that need to happen in order to make that a reality.

“Yeah, for sure,” said Diaz. “We’ll see what happens. Time will tell, guys.”

What do you say, Maniacs? When will Diaz make his UFC return and will we ever see his trilogy fight with McGregor?
