Nate Oats reveals injury update on Alabama guard after win vs. Auburn

by

The Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Auburn Tigers by a score of 96-92 on Saturday afternoon.

Alabama was nothing short of elite on the offensive end of the floor throughout all 40 minutes of play. The Tide shot an impressive 12-of-23 from beyond the arc during the victory over Auburn, as the matchup was an extremely physical and competitive contest.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats took a moment to speak with the media following the win, and in doing so, was able to share an injury update on star guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr., who exited the game in the first half, and did not return.

“Wrightsell’s got, we don’t know what exactly,” Oats said. He’s going to get an exam tomorrow.”

Wrightsell recorded five points on 2-of-3 shooting prior to suffering an injury. The talented guard has been shooting lights out from deep as of late, as Wrightsell hit his lone three point attempt of the game on the opening possession of the first half.

The Tide will face the Ole Miss Rebels on Wednesday evening, as Alabama will look to go 7-4 to begin SEC play.
