NC State swept UNC-Wilmington on Friday in an instate battle.
The Wolfpack won the men’s meet 161-114 and the women won 176-111.
The NC State women started with a win in the 200 medley relay as Olivia Nel, Lisa Nystrand, Erika Pelaez and Leah Shackley won in 1:37.04.
Nystrand won the 200 free in 1:48.01, though Nel was faster (1:46.29) but exhibitioned, and won the 200 breaststroke in 2:08.75.
NC State’s Kenna Smallengange won the 1650 freestyle in 16:51.47. Annabel Crush won the 100 back in 53.10 and 200 back (1:58.24). Grace Sheble won the 200 fly in 1:57.27. Casaundra Moses won the 50 free in 22.02 ahead of Shackley (22.12) and the 100 free (49.60). Ashton Zuburg won 1-meter diving with 287.40 points. Elisabeth Rockefeller on 3-meter (297.00). Chase Travis won the 400 IM (4:13.74).
Shackley went a 51.37 in the 100 fly but was exhibitioned.
Nel, Lily Christianson, Moses and Pelaez won the 200 free relay (1:26.88).
In the men’s meet, NC State got the 200 medley win with Stephan Conrad, Sam Hoover, Quintin McCarty and Kaii Winkler getting to the wall in 1:24.74.
NC State’s Luke Miller won the 200 free in 1:33.89. JT Ewing won the 200 fly in 1:45.24. Wells Walker won the 50 free in 19.21 ahead of Winkler (19.37). McCarty won the 100 free (42.20). Oleksandr Zheltiakov won the 200 back in 1:41.00. Kyle Ponsler won the 500 in 4:21.38. Sam Hoover won the 100 fly in 46.61. Calvin LeBlanc won 1-meter diving (321.53).
Walker, Hoover, Jerry Fox and McCarty won the 200 free relay (1:15.10).
UNC-Wilmington’s Jack VanHowe won the 100 backstroke in 46.30. Mason Hetzell won the 100 breast in 53.63. Ethan Badrain won 3-meter diving with 328.88 points. William Carrico won the 200 breast in 1:57.28.
