NCAA Women’s Championships: Day 4 Finals Heat Sheets and Prelim Up-Downs

by

The final session of the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships have plenty to watch.

Sure, Virginia has locked up a fifth consecutive title, but records will be under fire, and the battle for the 2-3-4 trophies are still going strong.

The final session will start with the 1650 free, then the 200 backstroke, 100 free, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, platform diving and the 400 free relay.

The 1650 final heat will be led by Texas sophomore Jillian Cox, who won the 500 free, and Stanford senior Aurora Roghair. But Virginia freshman Katie Grimes is in an early heat and will play a factor in the timed final as well.

The 200 backstroke could see Virginia’s Claire Curzan rattle the record books, but with Bella Sims and defending champion Phoebe Bacon looming, she will have to be near her best time to win.

The 100 freestyle will see another Gretchen Walsh-Torri Huske showdown with Walsh in pursuit of another record.

The 200 breaststroke has several smaller programs in the final, led by BYU’s Mackenzie Miller and Washington State’s Emily Lundgren, while Stanford’s Lucy Bell is also right in the mix.

The 200 fly looks to be a battle between defending champion Emma Sticklen and NCAA record-holder Alex Walsh.
