Nebraska (16-10, 5-10) continued its tough stretch on Monday morning by facing its fourth top 25 team in the last five games, No. 15 Iowa (20-5, 11-3). The Huskers lost their fifth straight game, and eighth against top 25 teams, falling to the Hawkeyes 80-67.
Iowa got off to a fast start, leaving Nebraska in the dust by going up 45-27. The Huskers fell behind by 27 in the fourth but managed to bring the deficit down to 13 by the end. Nebraska suffered 18 turnovers in the loss, 13 in the first half, leading to the Hawkeyes scoring 27 points.

Iowa shot 32-of-53 from the floor, 6-of-16 from beyond the arc and 10-of-13 from the free throw line. The Hawkeyes struck big in the first half, shooting 19-of-28 and 5-of-11 from three. The Huskers finished the game 27-of-58, 4-of-19 and 9-for-13, respectively. Iowa also outrebounded Nebraska, 31-23.
Britt Prince led Nebraska with 13 points, shooting 4-of-8 on the day and 5-of-6 from the free throw line. Eliza Maupin scored 11 points for the Huskers, hitting 5-of-7 from the floor and securing a team-high six rebounds. Amiah Hargrove rounded out the team’s top scorers, tallying 10 points by finishing 5-of-9 in total shooting.
Nebraska now travels up to the northwest for its next two games, starting with a battle at Oregon on Thursday night. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT on B1G+.
