Nebraska offers class of 2028 Penn State cornerback commit

Nebraska football is trying to steal another Big Ten school’s commit. Penn State cornerback commit Deonte Flemings announced that he received an offer from the Huskers.

Flemings committed to PSU back in late January, becoming the Nittany Lions‘ first commit of the 2028 class. The four-star recruit hails from Erie, Pennsylvania and is the No. 3 overall prospect in the state and is in the top 20 for cornerbacks in his class, according to 247Sports.

Flemings lists himself at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, and plays on both sides of the ball for McDowell High School (PA). He is versatile on the field, showing excellent work in press coverage.

The defensive back is now the seventh recruit to hold an offer from Nebraska, despite already holding a commitment. Nebraska is one of many schools to offer the junior, along with Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Ole Miss.
