On May 8th, 2026, Miami Dolphins signed undrafted free agent Le’Veon Moss to a 3-year contract. But just four days after doing so, he has chosen to retire from the NFL.
The team announced that they were placing Moss on the reserve/retired list, meaning Moss has chosen to end his NFL career (at least, for now).
Moss was a highly-regarded collegiate prospect in 2025, but an ankle injury against the Florida Gators last October saw him miss the final six games of the season for Texas A&M. Up until that point, Moss had 389 rushing yards and six touchdowns in just five games for the Aggies. He eventually returned to the team in December, rushing for 15 yards in a first-round loss to the University of Miami in the 2026 College Football Playoff. Since then, his draft stock has plummeted from the 3rd or 4th round to an undrafted free agent.
