Former Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava reportedly found a new school to play for.
Colin Cowherd announced Iamaleava will play for UCLA.
“I am told — moments ago — Nico Iamaleava is going to UCLA,” Cowherd said. “Family still claims it’s not about the money, it’s about the Vol football offense. I was not told what the Bruins are paying.”

Iamaleava entered the NCAA transfer portal Wednesday with a do not contact tag. The NCAA transfer portal opened Wednesday and will close April 25.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound signal-caller appeared in 18 games for the Vols from 2023-24. He completed 241-of-379 passing attempts for 2,930 yards, 21 touchdowns and five interceptions. Iamaleava also recorded 435 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 129 attempts for the Vols.
Tennessee will look to sign a quarterback in the NCAA transfer portal to replace Iamaleava on roster. The Vols have redshirt freshman Jake Merklinger and early enrollee freshman George MacIntyre on roster for their quarterback unit following the Orange & White Game.
