New Mexico State has announced what its calling the largest sponsorship gift its received in the history of its athletics department.
Blocktickets, which describes itself as a “user-friendly, mobile-first ticketing platform”, will become the “Official Ticket Provider” of NM State athletics and provide a $3 million contribution to support a “proposed major capital project.” The details of this project were not outlined in the university’s announcement.
Blocktickets will also receive “priority naming rights” for the upcoming project, pending approval from the NMSU Board of Regents.

“This is a transformational partnership that will set our athletics department on an upward trajectory like never before,” NM State athletic director Joe Fields said in a press release. “We’re already making remarkable progress, and this is only the beginning of something incredible. To fully bring this vision to life, we will need support from everyone who believes in the future of Aggie Athletics.”

NMSU says the new partnership will be a “major step forward in modernizing” game-day experiences for its teams and intends to move toward a fully digital ticketing system with Blocktickets’ help. In the press release, NMSU says Blocktickets views the partnership as a “long-term investment” in Aggies athletics.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with New Mexico State University on a project of this magnitude,” said Harrison Cogan, CEO and co-founder of Blocktickets, in a press release. “This partnership is about more than naming rights or ticketing—it’s about making a long-term investment in Aggie Athletics, supporting student-athletes, and helping the university build something meaningful for its fans and the entire Las Cruces community. We believe in the vision of NM State Athletics and are excited to help power its next chapter.”

The partnership is the latest in a string of notable changes under Fields’ watch since becoming AD in October 2025. They include replacing the Aggie Athletics Club with the Lou and Mary Henson Excellence Fund, ceasing its relationship with A-Mountain Sports to create an internal NIL model with the help of A-Mountain’s leaders and replacing Under Armour with Adidas as NMSU’s apparel partner.
