MADISON – In this new, beefed up version of the Big Ten, protecting home court is more important than ever.
The Wisconsin men’s basketball team has played its way into the hunt for a top-four finish in the conference and a double-bye for the Big Ten Tournament that will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis March 12-16.
The Badgers (17-5, 7-4) enter play Tuesday in a three-way tie for fourth-place with UCLA and Maryland. Tuesday night UCLA plays host to Big Ten-leader Michigan State. Maryland visits Ohio State.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin hosts Indiana (14-8, 5-6) at 8 p.m. The Hoosiers have lost five of their last six and three in a row.

How can I watch or listen to Wisconsin-Indiana basketball game?
The game will be streamed on Peacock with Noah Eagle taking care of play-by-play and Robbie Hummel handling the analysis.
The matchup can be heard on AM-97.3 in Milwaukee and on AM-1310 and FM 101.5 in Madison. Matt LePay (play-by-play) and Patrick Herb (analysis) will call the game. The contest can also be heard on the Varsity app or Sirius XM channel 85 or channel 390 for the Indiana broadcast.

John Tonje makes Oscar Robertson Trophy watch list
Monday, Tonje was one of 50 players named to the midseason watch list for the national player of the year honor given by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
The distinction came with Tonje on a run of four straight 20-point games. He is averaging 25.3 points per game during the run and shooting 56.8% (21 of 37) from three-point range. Overall in Big Ten play he is second in three-point shooting percentage (45.6%).
