Tennessee has gained a couple of players through the transfer portal this spring.
Jaylen Carey, a forward who was with Vanderbilt this past season, and guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie, who played for the Maryland Terrapins last season, have both committed to playing for the Volunteers this fall.
Gillespie, in particular, should help after averaging 14.7 points, 4.8 assists and 1.9 steals a game while hitting 40.7% from 3-point range during the 2024-25 campaign.
